My aunt had her grand opening of the Diamond Jamboree Shopping Center in Irvine, CA on Saturday, November 22, 2008. This is a multi-Asian shopping center that will serve the Orange County area. There are many great places here, so please go check it out when you can!

Melissa is currently a co-worker of mine, and I was so honored when she asked me to be her day-of coordinator. Her bachelorette party was in Hollywood. We used the same photo scavenger hunt that I created for Hanh’s party, but we tweaked it to fit the Hollywood & Highlands scene. It was a fun night!
This was my first destination wedding and what a treat it was for it to be in Hawaii! This was also my first small wedding. There were approximately 75 guests, so it was quite intimate and nice. The ceremony and reception were held at the Halekulani Resort in Waikiki on Thursday, November 6, 2008. It is a beautiful property with amazing views! The staff was awesome and really easy to work with (Thanks again Ai and Bryce!). Shawn Starr, the photographer, Alice Inoue, the officiant, and Emi, the florist, all did a great job! Everyone had a great time!
Favorite Moments: The couple held nothing back while cutting the cake! The last song, “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, where everyone danced in a big circle surrounding the happy couple.

Guess where we went for the bachelorette party? Vegas, of course! As always, it was fun! I created a photo scavenger hunt and we were all quite competitive and we ended up with some hilarious photos!
The wedding happened on Saturday, October 18, 2008. The ceremony was at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Chino Hills, CA and we did a photo shoot right afterwards at English Springs Park. Does the bridesmaid dresses look familiar to you? It’s the same exact one for Cheryl and Allen’s wedding except in a different color! So now I have two of the same dresses but in two colors: yellow and gold. The reception was held at the Anaheim Marriott Suites in Garden Grove, CA. Sal with SJR Digital Productions whom I worked with at Christina & Kevin’s wedding, did the videography for this wedding, and the photographers were from Harvard Photography.
The church singers received great reviews from the guests. The Banana Bay Band did a great job performing at the reception. The room was wonderfully decorated and everyone had a great time! I have been friends with Hanh since college, so it was an honor to be a bridesmaid!
Favorite Moments: Father/Daughter Dance, Maids of Honor speeches.

My good friend, Amma, with Signature Event Agency, asked me to help her out with her friend’s wedding on Saturday, August 16, 2008. The ceremony was held at the Christ the King Church in Los Angeles, CA and the reception was at the Radisson USC. After the ceremony and before the reception, the bridal party took a trip to the Griffith Park Observatory for a photo shoot. It was a beautiful day! Mike, with Mike Palma Photography, and Sal, with SJR Digital Productions, were both great to work with. Check out Amma’s website above for more photos and a video clip of this wedding!

Cheryl is a cousin of one of my closest girlfriends. When I found out that the wedding was taking place at the Disneyland® Resort, I happily volunteered to be her day of coordinator since I’ve never seen how our Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings are executed. The special day took place on Saturday, June 7, 2008. The morning ceremony was held at the Rose Court Garden of the Disneyland® Hotel and the lunch reception was at the Magic Kingdom Ballroom inside the hotel.
Favorite Moments: Cheryl arriving at the ceremony in the Cinderella carriage. The giant conga line that was actually really fun AND organized!
Here is the Photo Slideshow of the wedding by Photo Sense Photography. The first video is the wedding highlights, and the second is the engagement video that was shown at the reception:

What made this wedding so special is the fact that I’ve known the bride and groom for many years. We all went to high school together and so it was wonderful for everyone to see that they finally tied the knot! I helped Cheryl with the assembly of the invitations, ceremony program, table assignments, etc. It was fun!
The wedding was held on Saturday, October 6, 2007. The ceremony was held at St. Pius V Catholic Church and the reception was at Los Coyotes Country Club, both located in Buena Park, CA.
The videography was done by ADG Productions. The photographer was George Swar, and you can find more photos here. Thanks again Cheryl for letting me help out with the wedding and it was an honor to be a bridesmaid! Everyone had a great time!
Favorite Moments: Speeches, Bridal Party Grand Entrance. The garter getting caught in the lights!

Great food, good company and fun times! The bridal shower was held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Cheryl and Allen’s new home. All the girls enjoyed playing the games, sharing stories, and getting to know each other. The refreshments were catered by my friend, Adrian Lagoy, and Cheryl loved having a chocolate fountain! Ok, we ALL loved it too! I also made the favors: hershey kiss roses. The bachelorette party was in Las Vegas and we had a blast! Props to Cat, the Maid of Honor, for organizing it!

In the Filipino culture, a Debut celebrates a young woman’s 18th birthday, which is similar to that of a Quinceanera. For a detailed description of what a Debut is, click here. Ailen’s debut was held at the social hall of the Peninsula Temple Sholom in Burlingame, CA on Saturday, January 22, 2005. When I booked the venue, the social hall had just been renovated. I loved the interior design of the space, especially the ceiling. Ailen chose sage as her theme color, so I was able to find the dresses for the girls at a Jessica McClintock outlet. Since there wasn’t a wide selection of sizes to choose from, we had to get different styles of tops. Some girls wore a halter top and others wore the strapless ones. The grand cotillion dance took months of practice and it was a challenge to schedule practices between everyone’s school and work schedule. It was also a great learning experience for me having to choreograph the routine as well as teach it to a group of high school kids. When it came to selecting the vendors, I was able to use my resources. I discovered the venue through my co-worker at the time because he used to work there. The videographer was a friend , Aaron Leong with 4th Wall Productions, and the photographer was my former boss, Karen, with Karen Amor Photography. The balloon arch was even created by my co-worker at the time. There were about 200 guests. The centerpiece was a fish bowl with a beta fish in it. We raffled them off at the end of the night.
